Program Overview:

The Vet-Ex Program provides FREE outdoor adventures in the Fall and Spring to Estes Park, Colorado, where Veterans can experience the great outdoors inside Rocky Mountain National Park! These excursions are designed to build camaraderie, establish sense of purpose and increase quality of life. Through Veteran-led small group discussions, Veterans are educated on the difficulties of societal reintegration, military transition and other important topics. Veterans must apply and be selected by a committee to participate in this program, due to limited space.

Outdoor engagement activities have been shown to improve quality of life and allow Veterans the opportunity to process and reflect on their experiences. This program was designed to educate Veterans on the difficulties of reconnecting socially, while achieving inner peace and healing of the mind.

Outdoor Adventure Therapy for Heroes(O.A.T.H.) is our motto and belief that engaging in outdoor adventures with other veterans allows for real therapy to naturally take place in a neutral, safe environment.
